The Simpsons - DONE

Seeing as how I finished the only two hard parts ("Heavenly Score" and "Maki Roll Mania") without much difficulty, this game made me want to eat my face. Waaaaaaaaay too many collectibles for a game with such little free-roam. Still, it's done, and COD3 is up next.

Working on:

  • Looney Tunes (At the end of GSL. I finally found a completionist to partner up with for the atomic combo.)
  • Transformers (Whenever I'm out of boosting games)
  • Gears (3500 kills left. Must do before Birky gets home)
  • CoD3 (newb is silly)

Yar, I be grizzled.

So, my campaign on COD3 is done! Whoo! 30,000 more points on multiplayer and I get my proudest 1,000 to date.

Sidetracking FTW

So, I was playing COD3 yesterday, and in particular, a mission which required you to scale a house. I got up to the last floor when I assumed I had killed them all. As anyone in this position would know, when your bed doubles as a gaming chair, you must frequently move yourself to get comfortable. Or maybe it's just me, it doesn't matter. Point is, my controller was in one hand when a Nazi busted into the room I was in, shouting something about umbrellas, and proceeded to riddle me with bullets.

So, I basically decided I needed to overhaul my insanely messy room, and I did so for 13 hours straight. And I'm still working on it.

Working on:
COD3 (four missions, 30,000 points.)
Kane + Lynch (random DLC shit and money runs.)
SM3 (I will 1000 this.)

The Little Engine that Could.... Surround a Piece with 6 Black Pearls

Alright, so thanks to HxS F4T4L1TY (or something) and Birky, I now have all of the multiplayer achievements for P8. I'll probably get the Secret Spots done before I shelve it for a while.

Kane + Lynch boosting sessions are happening with me, Kreuger, Naptown, Rapture, and Blind, and once I get the online done, I'll blow through the singles and try to find someone to co-op.

As for COD3, I'm currently paused in the middle of the hardest part of the hardest level, where you have to cross the road in Forest. I used to be an insanely good sniper in COD3, and I think I'm getting some of my old skill back, because Forest hasn't been that hard for me. And I'm 1/5 of the way there for General, and it only took me a few days. Thanks to the douchebaggery of a certain GSL competitor, my boostmates for COD3 are all ready to go. I could get General by the end of the month if I'm lucky.

Anyway, on to the main point of this post. As anyone who looked at my sig would know, I like Rubik's cubes, and yes, I can solve one. It took me a damned long time, but I came up with my own method, blah blah blah, point is, if I can do that, I can 200 Hexic. I came across this video:

I'll probably kick myself, but it looks damned easy. I could probably 200 this in about 25-40 hours of work.

"Reductio Ad Ortus", or, "Hey Guys, I Know Latin!"

So, back on December 19th, 2006, I waited in line for 5 hours for a Wii. I was 8th on line at a store that got a dozen every Saturday (or Friday or something, point is, they were supposed to get 12 that day). They only got 2 that day for some reason, and I used my money to impulse-buy a 360, the rest is history. I bought two games with it, which were Tony Hawk's Project 8 and Call of Duty 3. As you know, these are both bitches to 1000. Probably why I was an anticompletionist for so long.

Anyway, I've been working on COD3, and I just got a message from a guy with an intercapped gamertag that seems intelligent (which is rare) who wants to boost Project 8. So here I am, playing my "launch" games. It's like the last 19 months and 41,000 gamerscore never happened.

Happy Tree Friends - DONE

I don't like this game. It had a great premise, like a weird Lemmings clone, and was fun for about 30 minutes, but all in all it fell horribly short in execution. The Friends don't run away from your fire well, (which is in the game specifically to make HTFs run away from it) there's hardly any body mutilation, not a lot of gameplay elements, and an overall broken feel. More puzzle-solving would have not gone amiss. My transatlantic BFFL Calzord was the first in the world to 200 it and is currently #1 in the game leaderboard by a large margin. I'll settle for the 25th 200 in the world and #2 on the site.

Currently working on:
Gears of War (Ooooooooohhhhhhh, we're halfway there...)
Call of Duty 3 (Veteran = not fun.)
Saint's Row (Whenever the guys I'm boosting with tell me to.)
Whatever strikes my fancy the next time I scroll through my arcade list. Probably Sonic.

For now, I'll take a short break from Completionistism and play some Psychonauts.
