After putting in over a dozen hours on Saint's co-op, then getting fucked over, (note to self, never boost with a prepubescent, l33t wigger) I restarted it with my cousin. All we have left is one level of Snatch, and all of the Insurance Fraud and Heli Assault. Then we fly through the story and spend a week on the online. It'll get done before Gears 2.
My cousin left town for the weekend though, so rather than risk glitching anything, I just popped a few other games and tried to do what I could. It's been productive. I put in Jumper, realized it blew, then worked on Orange Box and Halo 3. Now I have all the Halo 3 achievements besides 7 on 7 (but have Ranked Team Slayer prepped for it), all of the TF2 ones besides Hardcore and Friends Like These, and all of the HL2 ones besides Lambda Locater, Anti-Sniper and Keep Off the Sand. 50k will come next week hopefully.

I'm probably better than you.
Or at least that's what the achievement says. Rainbow 6 Vegas was 1000d two days before Saint's 2 came out, so I spent some time on Texas Hold 'Em before Saint's 2 came out.
Let me tell you a quick story. Once upon a time there was a magical company that made a lot of very good video games. You could run around a huge city and do whatever you wanted. Steal cars, blow up pedestrians, you name it. As they made more and more games, they became more and more realistic. Then, after making everyone wait 3 years for what was supposed to be the best game evar, they released a graphically-perfect, physically-sound, well-designed, in-depth, spellbinding game. Everyone played it and freaked out over how awesome it was, and two days later, they all realized it wasn't actually fun.
Saint's Row 2 is FUN. It takes every single flaw and shortcoming GTA IV had, fixes it, and makes it a game you want to play. I personally admire any developer that makes graphics cartoony or cell-shaded so they can focus on gameplay. Saint's 2 isn't a better-made game than GTA IV, not by a long shot. But it's more fun. And games are like, supposed to be fun or something.
My Saint's progress is doing well, by week's end I should be done with the story, activities, and co-op. Another half-week after that for collection, and a full week for online means I should have the game 1000d by November 1st, giving me a full week off before Gears 2 drops. I'm looking to brush 5 or so of my quicker incompletions off my shelf in that week.

2008 Goals
2009 will be upon us in less than 3 months, and I'm mentally planning out what I want to get done by then. My five must-buy games are Saints Row 2, Gears of War 2, Call of Duty: World at War, Mirror's Edge, and Left 4 Dead.
Now - Oct. 13: Finish Rainbow 6: Vegas.
Oct. 14 - late Oct: Get, play, and 1000 Saints Row 2. I'm aiming to be one of the first 50 in the world to do this.
late Oct - Nov. 6: Screw around with the games I have incomplete and do whatever I can.
Nov. 7 - Nov. 10: GEARS 2! Unfortunately, I'll only be playing this for four days.
Nov. 11 - Nov. 18?: Get, play, orgasm over, 1000, and play some more Mirror's Edge. Words cannot describe how awesome this game looks. I will abstain from sleep until I have this 1000d, I will accept nothing less than first on x360a. Hopefully I can get it done in time for Left 4 Dead.
Nov. 19 - late Nov.: Get, play and 1000 Left 4 Dead. Hopefully I can get started on it at launch, but if not, meh. I'd like to finish this relatively early, but if I collapse or if Mirror's Edge takes too long, no big deal.
December: 1000 Gears 2 and CoD: WaW.
Hopefully, I can get all of my Fall launch games 1000d before the year ends. My maybes for Fall are Fallout 3, Dead Space, Fracture, Fable 2 and Resident Evil 5. I'll be getting started on whichever ones I want by January 1st, 2009.

I'm pretty legendary
Well, Crackdown is done, and I finally finished the campaign on Realistic. Nothing could ever be more teeth-pulling than the COD3 campaign, but RB6 is probably the hardest one I've ever played that's hard by design, not hard because the game is broken. Special Operations glitched on me, but it was a good glitch, I played less than half the gametypes before it popped.
Working on:
Working on:
- Rainbow 6: Vegas (400k more EXP and most of the online junk, besides M.C. and S.O.)
