Quick update
After a little of a rocky start, Gears 2 boosting is now going phenomenally well. Earning about 60k EXP an hour, and looking like I may end up in spitting distance of rank 100 by the end. Going 500-2 in a typical match doesn't look too good on the leaderboards though.

I don't think I've ever kept to my plans
So I was working on the Godfather, when Randal, who is quite possibly the single greatest human being the world has ever seen, informed me that the All Fronts DLC was out on the Marketplace. Long story short, me and a half-dozen of my friends now own the Dark Corners maps two weeks before the general public. That would be cool if the maps didn't suck and the deleted scene wasn't a joke.
What's important is this: I, as well as a few of my completionist friends, have access to a public playlist virtually no one else in the world has access to. This guarantees our ability to get into a game together. I could concieveably get to rank 100 or be very close by the time Dark Corners is released to everyone. Here's hoping.

Left 4 Dead, Worms, New Rally-X, and other good stuff.
Double XP weekend was profitable. I ended up getting 300k+ EXP, which is about 5% of Rank 100 all told. Only 16 more weekends and I'll be there! (fake smiley face that's really just a mask for my internal anguish)
After Double EXP, I played Worms on a whim. Fun game, but I neglected to notice that it's the exact type of game I suck at massively. Add in the fact that the CPU likes pulling off incredibly bullshit rocket launches that no human could dream of, and I was replaying level 19 dozens of times waiting to get lucky. I eventually finished it for my 13th arcade completion. Just for the hell of it, and in part of my attempt to catch up to my perpetual rival Birky's 28 arcades, I also spent a half-hour on New Rally-X for that 200. Actually a legitimately fun game, who knew?
After that, I finally got rubberbanding Left 4 Dead to work, rounding off 3 completions in 24 hours. Which brings me to my next point: I've decided to start toning down the work I'm doing on my backlog. I did the math, and if I start and complete 2 new games for every one I finish off my backlog, I'll still get 100% before 100k, ignoring Veteran Gear and Luck of the Draw. I have a huge stack of games, some of them years old, that I've been aching to play.
Later today, I'll be starting up The Godfather. When I'm done with that, it's Dead Rising if I have a place in my scedule where I can do 7-Day Survivor, and if not, Bully. I'll definitely working on Gears 2 in between, and definitely be taking a break for it when those new achievements come out.

Prototype is now in the backlog.
With TU4 apparently coming in this weekend, along with a double EXP and a win bonus on the first weekend Ive had off in months, there's no way in hell I'm playing anything that isn't Gears 2. I have no chance of finishing Prototype before then, so I've set my sights to doing everything but the Hard playthrough and shelving it for a bit.
I'm looking to break the 25% barrier in Gears 2, and I also want to finish off one other game before I go back to Prototype, probably Mirror's Edge. After I finish off Prototype, I want to get one more sports game, most likely MLB 2k7 done, as well as COD5 if Sajaa can get a copy by then.
